We're not tied to any vendor. That means we can recommend the stack that's right for you, even when it's a smaller one.

Hi, I'm Rif.

I started Ambyant Labs after 15 years running data and delivery inside scale-ups and big organisations. I've seen what happens when a stack is sized for the funding round, not for the business.

I've also built the data foundations behind B2B data products, so I know what changes when agents, not people, are the ones reading your data.

Where I've done this:

  • Atlassian: delivered platform and AI initiatives across a multi-region platform.
  • Education Perfect: built the data foundations for B2B data products, and cut our BI and product analytics bill by 30 to 40% by moving to cheaper tools.
  • Airtasker: led the move to a new BI platform, then owned the data stack and its bills, from warehouse and pipelines to product analytics.
  • CSIRO: built the data and analytics infrastructure for a start-up incubating at CSIRO's Data61.

Outside work I'm usually watching or playing football/soccer and trying to keep up with the latest in music, photography and the F1.
